OLD NEWS: Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Urban Hope (No food on Sundays)
(This is old news, and church activities have been suspended until further notice, please see newer posts on this website for the more recent information.)Urban Hope will continue to meet for worship and take every measure we can to protect all of us. Please see the NHS guidance here on what everybody should do - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ - This includes staying home if you have any of the following symptoms:
- A high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- A new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
Unfortunately, there are some things we need to change from how we normally do things.
The biggest of these is that we can't serve food when we meet on Sundays. Hopefully it will only need to be a short term arrangement and you understand why this decision has been made.
Just a reminder of other things you should be doing:
Do
- Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
- Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
- Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
- Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
- Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Don't
- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
