Cathedral projections - last night tonight!

November 16, 2019

Coventry Cathedral is currently showing an amazing projection show each night between 5 and 9. It's in memory of Coventry Blitz and it's all kinds of gorgeous!

The whole thing takes about 20 minutes to walk around, with different projections and sounds at different parts of the cathedral.  It's well worth the visit but the last night is tonight, 16th November.

If you can't make it, then you can watch the video below, but it's better to see in person.

The below is taken from https://historicengland.org.uk/get-involved/visit/where-light-falls/coventry-cathedral/

Using the cathedral as a canvas, leading creatives Double Take Projections will project powerful poetry, visuals and photography to tell the story of the cathedral, the city and its people.
It's a tale of destruction, recovery and resilience: from the medieval period  when culture, learning and trade flourished  through the destruction of the old cathedral during the Blitz, finishing with peace, reconciliation and the building of a modern city.

Event information

The projections will take place in a number of locations around the outside of the new cathedral and inside the cathedral ruins. Ambassadors will be available to help you navigate on the night.
The main show lasts approximately 10 minutes and will be repeated throughout the evening, so you can arrive any time between 5 and 8.30pm. We recommend you allow 20 minutes to enjoy the full experience.
This is an outdoor event so please dress for the weather. Please note food and drink is not provided.
Do go and support if you can. Us City Centre churches have got to stick together!
